Sound Dampening

Oh, and being able to go to a sound-dampening room to scream is also a nice option.

Yell and Scream

"Sometimes you just gotta yell and scream. Sometimes its the only thing to do. Noisy as a fire truck, you just got to open up."

Sometimes I really feel like screaming. It is not that life is horrible or anything, but sometimes I just enjoy letting out stress in the form of screaming. For some inexplicable reason, screaming can relieve stress even better than exercising or scrubbing tubs.

So, I guess I am just saying that sometimes it is best to just yell and scream for a few minutes. Of course, in the privacy and quite of my own room, with the scream not really leaving the depths of my pillow.

Headband, Hat, or Using Extra Yarn?

So, I know that a lot of people really like these headbands. I admit that some of them are really cute. And occasionally, only occasionally, a girl can actually pull it off. Of course, this is only my personal opinion. But I think the fad has taken over my school. I see girls everyone with knitted headbands, and only some of them look good. It is definitely not my favorite thing.

Good Morning, Life!

"Good morning life
Good morning sun how are your skies above
Gee it's great to be alive and in love"

Well, minus the in love part, I feel that this song fits me just perfectly. Recently I have been just so happy to be alive. Each day I walk up to school and just think of how good the day is destined to be. As of yet, I have not been disappointed. Even when things don't go exactly according to plan, it doesn't seem to phase me.

So, life is good. It is great to be alive. And I guess I could even say I am in love, if you can count being in love with where I am in my life.

Crisp Autumn Air

So, a lot of my friends have been posting blogs about gratitude. I felt that I should as well, especially since I am so happy due to the many blessings in my life.

Today, I am particularly grateful for crisp autumn air. I love walking out the front door and feeling the nip in the air. I feel as though there is an extra bounce in my step when there is a bite in the air, and not just because I am hurrying to get back inside.

In addition to the cool air, I love the crunch of the frosty grass and brightly colored leaves. No matter how many times I experience the change of seasons, I am always overcome with the beauty of it. Heavenly Father can paint a truly beautiful scene. At times like these, I wonder how I can ever be blue, when I am surrounded by so much beauty. All I need to do is step outside to remember how amazing life truly is.

Haircut

I got my haircut. It was kind of out of the blue, but I am really glad I did. My friend was interviewing at a salon to get a job cutting hair there. She had to bring someone in and cut her hair there. I volunteered. I really like my new haircut, but it will take some getting used to.

Music

Today I had the opportunity to go to an assisted living facility to sing hymns. I went with some other people from church and residents of the assisted-living community joined us. It was a wonderful experience. I loved being able to gather with others to praise God through song. The residents of the community absolutely loved to sing and praise God, but I couldn't help but notice that most of them were no longer able to read the words printed in the hymnals. I realized that while I love the hymns, I don't know all of the words to a single hymn. For that reason, I think I should memorize all of the versus to some of my favorite hymns. I think I will start with "I Believe in Christ," "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," and "I Need Thee Every Hour."
